We are proud to introduce our new system of smart sub-meters.  Based on our eight years' experience of operating thousands of PAYG sub-meters in the UK, we have redesigned our systems from scratch to bring to the market a system which addresses the issues with our old system and our competitors.  This system has now been tested for eighteen months on several hundred properties is proving to be very reliable.

Our new Pay4Energy system is superior to any other system as:

a)   our meters have a keypad to enable top-ups when there is a mobile network outage and we cannot automatically deliver a top-up.  In this event, the tenant is automatically sent by email or SMS with a token code;

b)   these meters are the latest generation of smart meters, and made by one of the World's largest smart meter manufacturers.  They are built to such a high standard that we offer a Lifetime Guarantee;   

c)   we do not charge a daily standing charge, so no debt accrues during vacant periods.  This normally works out cheaper for tenants and landlords.  Instead we add a 15% margin (incl VAT) on the unit rate to cover our costs;

d)  smart meters are far better than than dumb STS meters - such as Metro, which cannot be read remotely.  They are more convenient as tenants don't have to enter token codes physically into the meter (except in rare occasions of mobile network failure), more tamper resistant, as well as accurately charge tariffs (such as day / night recover standing charges for landlords);

e)  telephone support for tenants from a UK based 24 x 7 help desk.

This is a single phase meter which is suitable for residential and non industrial use (If you need a Three Phase meter then your electrician will have told you).

Please note that as we are still enhancing our system, not all the functionality is currently available, including: 

• ability to recover a daily standing charge;
• auto recharge of meter top-ups;
• Paypoint cash payments top-ups at local corner shops;

but these updates will be rolled out automatically to already installed meters over the coming months.
